By intuition and by training it's supposed to be followed/tracked but IF these unknown objects are powerful and advanced enough to control your minds to make the pilot feel a level of fear that could make them decide to back out then that alone is an advanced weaponry to their advantage. Seen a drone in Pennsylvania 2 nights ago, it had 2 red blinking lights. No other lights, no noise. Very bright lights too,looked nothing like normal lights on a aircraft.
I have seen videos on YouTube of drones that can convert from vertical to fixed wing in flight then back to vertical for landing, so it could be possible to launch from a ship deck.
