I used to host Duck Dynasty watch parties at my apartment when we were in college, and a friend of a friend brought their roommates over. After a few weeks of the show, I asked one of the girls out on a date. Almost 10 years later, one of those roommates is my wife. Thank you, Robertson family, for a great show and for being who you say you are.

2011, I had the serendipity privilege to meet Phil, Kay, and Si by being a guest of Aunt Jan's for a week. They're the same authentic zany people in person as on the show. By the time I left, my ribs hurt from laughing a whole week. Wonderful people, and I sat at THE table eating fried shrimp cooked by Phil, who talked about Jesus all the time. I love their boldness for Christ and their kindness and joy. I'm nobody from Ohio. It was what I call a God appointment. It is one of the highlights of my life. Keep preaching the Gospel, Willy!

I love that reality TV didnt ruin these people. They really held onto their souls, which doesnts seem to be easy for those folks who get captured by hollywood and money. They've held onto the Gospels, their morals, and their families all the way through. Its beautiful.
