Critique of AI's $100 Billion Nvidia-OpenAI Bet Versus Critical Societal Investment Needs

Discover why industry professionals are growing disillusioned with the massive capital flowing into Artificial Intelligence, specifically analyzing the implications of the $100 billion deployment commitment between OpenAI and Nvidia against failing core societal systems like healthcare and housing.

Short Summary

  • Detail the magnitude of the OpenAI/Nvidia partnership involving 10 gigawatts of compute power and up to $100 billion in investment.
  • Contrast the hyper-valuation of AI startups ($500 billion for OpenAI) with the observed deterioration of essential public services (hospitals, education, housing).
  • Analyze the speaker's central thesis: Technology must serve humanity (support), not declare itself the fundamental basis of the economy, contrasting historical growth bubbles with the perceived lack of physical infrastructure yield from current AI funding.

This analysis dissects the announcement between two tech giants, framing it as a symptom of intellectual resource bankruptcy where funds are aggressively diverted from tangible social goods into abstract computational power. Readers gain context on the scale of this investment and the profound socio-economic critique being levied against Silicon Valley's current priorities.

One of your best monologues yet. They really do represent the worst of humanity, as you said. And of course, they'll lie and claim that "AI will help us solve global warming" or "AI will help us cure diseases" or "AI will help us solve world hunger and homelessness," etc, etc. Just absolutely disgusting, shameless manipulation. The AI industry, particularly generative AI, is human cynicism, laziness, greed and superficiality writ large. The fact that people are using it as a therapist is just sad, and a testament to our mental health crisis in this country, our failing medical support system, and so many other issues that are not being addressed. And what do we actually have? "Vibe" coding and shitty meme generators. How is this justifiable? I could go on and on, but I won't. The Idiocracy continues.

CEOs and corporations don’t care about saving humanity. They care about controlling it.

Now we know when Sam Altman admitted AI is a bubble, what he was really saying was "Nice 4-trillion-dollar valuation you got there, NVIDIA, be a shame if some loudmouth kept talking about the AI bubble and popped it." They couldn't throw $100 billion at him to shut him up fast enough.

This situation reminds me of something a known Chinese professor of economics was saying: "They are destroying money on purpose, in order to maintain the illusion of scarcity and keep workers obedient"

This is a typical silicon valley and wall street Scam. The pattern:1. NVIDIA give OPEN AI 100B for AI, OPEN AI stocks went higher, 2.OPEN AI announced invest 100B to ORACLE for infrastructure, ORACLE stocks went higher, then ORACLE announced early will invest 100B to NVIDIA for data processing, NVIDiA stocks went higher. A perfect circle!!! The money even do NOT need move, three stocks already went up. The BILLIONAIRE stock holders have another extra billions dollars in their account.

I can't name a channel that tells a better story of gradual radicalization. Eli's creating the definitive chronicle of this era.

To run AI - 3 nuclear power stations. To run human beings - bread and water, a first class education system, freedom of speech, and maybe a calculator.

Big companies are throwing trillions at NVDia, which is now sending trillions into other AI companies so they can buy more NVIdia, so its stock will go up even faster. It’s a cycle.
