The decline of Oneplus is as bitter for me as the fall of HTC.
OnePlus was already on a downward spiral since 2019 and 7T Pro. And yes, fuck Oppo for killing OnePlus.

Is the America Administration aware that every smartphone is a Wifi router?
It's sad to see OnePlus go but to be honest it felt to me that OnePlus reached it absolut peak with the 7 Pro. From there they slowly went down by merging more and more with Oppo and thus worsening Oxygen OS by replacing it with a reskinned ColorOS and making it harder and harder to modify their ROMs. Seems like my OP12 will be the last OP I never own
I see ARMs processor pushing their customers now competitors into speeding up Risc V.
I miss the days of sponsored by "nebula"
always the same story, big company buys awesome small company, makes it exactly same as their own brand and kills it
The router ban is just something a business lobbied through. American ISPs still have a lot of Huawei infrastructure remaining in their 4G networks, even though the Huawei ban was years ago. If they were serious about security, then these bans and replacement programs would occasionally force big businesses to replace security threatening infrastructure at a loss.
