Claude Fable 5 Agentic AI Trading: First Tests Looks VERY Strong

The whole point is to lure us into a million-token addiction loop. We are basically playing software generation casino here, and it gets more obvious with every release. Anthropic invests in inference one last time, puts Fable on a token-only basis VERY SOON, rushes to IPO, Dario cashes out and buys himself 20 supercars, and we destroyed the forest and wasted power on thousands of half-baked super-buggy clones of Unity example repos which cost hundreds of dollars but never got used or released at all.

How high were the token cost for Fable 5 for all of this?

This is a measured deployment signaling the future of LLM frontier models. Subscriptions will no longer cover them. You cannot imagine how expensive this model will be to run on June 22nd. On top of that, it is NOT at all worth the hype. It has struggled and flailed to do basic thing Opus4.8 (already overpriced, but at least covered under a subscription) has done very well. We have already switched back to Opus as there is no reason to try and harness Fable 5 to work out the obvious issues with it since it will not be an affordable model to 99% of users.

Good stuff! Have you tried having AI generate a script with it's trading logic/algo embedded and avoid having to consume tokens?

I hate how many youtubers make great videos like this then miss the most important part, token cost, cause if you made 40 bucks and spent 50 on tokens well.. then thats not profit
