- Doctors delivered radically different autopsy findings, pitting a homicide theory against an accidental fall.
- Early law enforcement decisions, specifically releasing the bloody scene, severely complicated the subsequent murder investigation.
- Alison Davis faced accusations of staging the scene and minimizing the victim's critical internal injuries.
- Alison Davis was ultimately acquitted of murder after spending 17 months incarcerated awaiting trial.

First mistake they allowed her to keep the dog in the bedroom instead of asking her to put the dog outside so they could collect evidence. Second mistake, allowing them to clean the crime scene before the autopsy. Very sloppy police work
Treated like a crime scene but they will avoid the bedroom a whole room full of evidence because of a dog??
What a terrible investigation from the beginning...the detective was so bad at his job!!
That “detective” shouldn’t even be mall security. He should resign from embarrassment alone.
I know I watch too much true crime shows when I know I could manage a crime scene better than some of these cops.😂😂😂
"I don't know, I wasn't there": interesting perspective from a police detective.
She got more upset when they said they were going to investigate than she did when they said he might die
What it is unbelievable is that the police did not enter and register the bedroom upstairs that same night. That was crucial. Why did that chief policeman get his promotion later on? As an award for all his blunders? How incompetent!
Just the fact she was so upset and crying on the call to the ambulance yet calm and no tears when they got there! She did it
“I dunno I wasn’t there” that “detective” needs to never work again.
