John Humphrey & Aaron Alexander react to and break down WALL-E (2008), the Academy Award-winning Pixar film directed by Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, Finding Dory), featuring Ben Burtt (Star Wars) as the voice of WALL-E and Elissa Knight (Cars, Pixar legacy performer) as EVE, alongside Fred Willard (Best in Show, Modern Family) as the live-action CEO of Buy n Large. Set in a distant future where Earth has been abandoned due to environmental collapse, WALL-E follows a lonely waste-collecting robot left behind to clean the planet. Through largely silent storytelling, the film delivers stunning visual world-building—from towering landscapes of trash to the sleek, consumer-driven Axiom spaceship—while exploring themes of isolation, love, and what it truly means to live . The reaction highlights the film’s unique ability to convey deep emotion with minimal dialogue, especially through WALL-E’s connection with EVE, as well as the striking contrast between the desolate Earth and the hyper-automated human existence in space. As the story unfolds, the stakes grow far beyond a simple love story, touching on humanity’s dependence on technology, environmental responsibility, and the rediscovery of purpose. From iconic moments like WALL-E discovering the plant, the Axiom’s shocking 700-year timeline, and the powerful turning point where humanity chooses to return home, to the beautifully animated final act of renewal and hope, this film proves why it remains one of Pixar’s most meaningful and visually ambitious achievements. John & Aaron break down the emotional impact, the layered social commentary, the unforgettable score by Thomas Newman, and why WALL-E stands as one of the most important animated films ever made.#WALLE #Pixar #WALLEReaction #PixarReaction #DisneyPixar #AnimatedMovies #MovieReaction #FilmAnalysis #EVE #Animation TANGLED (2010): https://youtu.be/LqwE0xRzpZA ZOOTOPIA (2016): https://youtu.be/MFU5ihSExf8 ZOOTOPIA 2 (2025): https://youtu.be/yh2KqmIBW48 FROZEN (2013): https://youtu.be/vEIJ6T3i0Js FROZEN 2 (2019): https://youtu.be/PBqQPPI3oik Follow *Aaron Alexander* https://www.instagram.com/therealaaronalexander/?hl=en 0:00 Checking In! 1:42 Wall-E Reaction 35:16 HUEL 36:53 Wall-E Movie Reaction 1:01:11 WALL-E Movie Review Intense Suspense by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ RR Clips & Shorts Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ReelRejectsClips Follow TheReelRejects On The Socials: IG: https://www.instagram.com/reelrejects/ TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@thereelrejects?lang=en TWITTER: https://twitter.com/thereelrejects FB: https://www.facebook.com/TheReelRejects/ Music Used In Ad: Hat the Jazz by Twin Musicom is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Happy Alley by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Head Editor: https://www.instagram.com/prapermedia Supervising Producer: https://twitter.com/nerdchronic?lang=en Co-Editor: Greg Alba Co-Editor: John Humphrey Music In Video: Airport Lounge - Disco Ultralounge by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Follow & Listen to Us Wherever You Get Your Podcasts!! - Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3XHMwbveiznxSOGxN9XT0M - Google Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5tZWdhcGhvbmUuZm0vc3Rhci13YXJzLXRhbGs - Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-reel-rejects-tv-movie-recaps/id1616339990 - Audible: https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Apocalypse-Podcast/B08JJP58FG PLAYLISTS: Trailer Reactions & Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw9ZsLdoAQFpx38s2hhyFgDe Movie Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw-comtadVs8b9JsZEWHUyr8 Movie Talk (News, Spoiler Reviews, & Film Rumors!!!): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw8fPQ-21NVSb2IOwIiHbVt8 Youtube Video Reactions & Discussions: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw_qwcPsN_vOxXC6IVzrOQYG Sketches & Short Films: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw_zWuTRfBOUP3aYyIYRzc2y

I love how they managed to tell such a sweet and engaging love story with almost no dialogue in the first half. The character designs and animation tell you everything.

One of the best lines ever put to film that perfectly summarizes the message of this movie: "I don't want to survive, I want to live"

Wall-E is the best Pixar boyfriend and you can't tell me otherwise 😂.

Trivia note: In 1994, the 4 guys in charge of Pixar got together for lunch & brainstormed ideas for other films they could make if Toy Story 1 was a success. During that lunch, they came up with the ideas for Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life, Monster's Inc., Finding Nemo, & WALL-E. Well, WALL-E was the last of those 5 films made, 14 years after that lunch took place. Furthermore, 1 thing that I like about WALL-E that not enough people bring up is that if you isolate the parts with just WALL-E & EVE the story works, but if you isolate the parts with just the Captain & the humans the story also still works. It's 1 of the few Disney films that actually does a subplot that's just as interesting as the main plot.

I noticed Auto gets closer and closer in each picture of the captains. Ominous. Auto's bad news. You know I wonder if all the Eva bots really always came back negative or if Auto was just always getting rid of it.
