Hi Mark. Big fan of you. I was quite disappointed with the guideโs limited knowledge of Mauritian cuisine. Mauritius has so much more to offer, including delicious dishes like 7 cari, chicken curry, mauritian pastries, indian food, chicken salmi, sagoo, and aplon, etc. Itโs a shame these werenโt highlighted. I highly recommend finding a guide who not only knows the rich culinary landscape but also understands the deep history of Mauritius. This would provide a much more enriching experience. Glad you had some good moments in Mauritius.
You won Mark. This third video sealed the deal. Booked my ticket for December.
That is why mauritians can live anywhere in the world..our food culture is so vast
Thanks for promoting Mauritian Cuisine Mark. Much appreciated
thanks for representing our country and bring some visibily to this wonderful island ๐
That "Abu Dhabi Grill" place looks amazing. That'd sell for $20-$30 in the US as a food truck. Hell, even those fries look much better than the fries I've had at food trucks in the US. That lady knows what's she doing.
Mark and his love of Chili. " A tub of chili is the sign of a great place" ๐๐
Julian laisse Mark goute ban food la en premier dr... Dnt dig in the plate ๐ ๐ ๐ he is the explorer of the food....
Im from Guyana, we eat Dhal Pouri too!!! Thought this was exclusive to us and Trinidad & Tobago... but we eat it with curries. Our history is similar too. regarding sugar cane plantations and Indians brought in as slaves.. wondering if this dish originated from there.
Man, how do you pump in all these food in 12hrs? Also, I'm quite outraged by your tour guide. He's just a binge-eater and has terribly limited knowledge of the local food and its history. He clearly missed more common delicacies that makes the folklore of the island of Mauritius. It seemed he brought you to places that HE LIKES rather than a journey of discovery, no disrecpect to the food-spots you visited, they make awesome food, but they make up only 40% of the common food of Mru. Yet, feels proud to see Mauritian cuisine in 3 full episodes! Bravo and see you again soon...
