The guy who made the backup was probably laid off 3 months ago due to AI
CEO probably fired the server administrator and infrastructure teams thinking he could replace them with dumb AI Tools to prop up AI madness
I bet they have only a three month old backup cuz they fired the guy who did the backup. Truth is always refreshing to hear
The whole database wiped out in 9 seconds? I last longer than that!
the guy who did the backup was probably made redundant three months ago
That the AI was programmed to pretend it is real, alive, and thinking, is next-level dystopian.
Even as a complete layman, whenever someone says they are "vibe coding" all I can hear is "you have no idea how to do your job".
The person who had the smarts to create an offsite backup, the founder probably replaced them with Claude AI.
My IT career started in an era that used the term "five nines" to describe the tolerances our service level agreement guaranteed. So glad to know my extensive experience priced me out of a career where my WORST backup would have been from last night, and I'd be embarrassed if I couldn't just replay logs or find a shadow copy...
Listening to the CEO's rant, am I the only one that gets the feeling that the CEO was driving the agent when the incident happened?
