He could have gotten out of the way. How is killing her the only way he could have avoided “harm”?

I completely disagree. If the officer trully felt under treat. He would have had no time to pull the gun, instead he would have jumped out of the way.. he just took the opportunity to shot someone because he knew he had a chance then.. also im not on the left and most of the time agree with Ben. But nah this time it was definitely avoidable. He was in no danger. Also shoting the woman wont stop the car so if he trully felt in danger shotting her could cause even more danger to him.

Quote from US Department of justice Firearms may not be discharged solely to disable moving vehicles. Specifically, firearms may not be discharged at a moving vehicle unless: (1) a person in the vehicle is threatening the officer or another person with deadly force by means other than the vehicle; or (2) the vehicle is operated in a manner that threatens to cause death or serious physical injury to the officer or others, and no other objectively reasonable means of defense appear to exist, which includes moving out of the path of the vehicle. Firearms may not be discharged from a moving vehicle except in exigent circumstances. In these situations, an officer must have an articulable reason for this use of deadly force. Mic drop

7:30 I invite everyone to lookup the video with the audio for themselves. Regardless of your opinions on ICE and immigration, it's clear the officer was NOT acting in self-defence. Period. The car was NOT going towards him when he started shooting, and he continued shooting even AFTER she moved away from him! It's not so hard to accept. You can hold all your political opinions and still admit that this is terribly wrong and the officer should face accountability.
