It is great to see the BBC finally bringing a strong sensible and experienced voice such as John. I’m looking forward to his segment as oppose to giving amplified voice to nonsensical populism.
I saw John at Heathrow when he was very dapper in his signature white suit in 1990 on a flight back to the Middle East in the late August of 1990. He still presents well and is succinct when he speaks unlike many presenters.
Everyone should watch Bernie Sanders’ condemnation of the murder of Charlie Kirk, issued on Friday 12/9/2025.
There was also a school shooting that same day that Charlie Kirk's death overshadowed. 😢 While he was debating, children were experiencing the very thing he believed. He left this world by his beliefs. Those kids didn't. Why aren't they being mourned?
