Wow... the Youtube CCNAvengers Aseembled💻👍
I got my Catalyst 48-port 2960 switch off Amazon for $50. My lab currently has two Cisco switches, two routers, a Meraki firewall, a TecMojo 8-outlet surge protector, and a Cisco WAP, all encased in a 9U open rack. Sitting next to it is my IBM server, which I use to store my VMs.
are the labs also in the free edition? or only in Premium, I don't mean the connection to the labs but the scenario's and the set up.
I like the virtual platforms, but you cant simulate/emulate a true layer 1 issue. And let me tell you, layer 1 is most definitely at least half of the issues you face in a real network. And im not just talking about cableling. Im referencing anything to do with physical layer i.e hardware, modules, power, UPS's, mis-matched polarity on your fiber etc. All of that can fail at any point and you not even discover the scope of the issue until you troubleshoot layer 1.
