Are modern vehicles becoming disposable cars? We examine why high-tech components are making car reliability a thing of the past. Many drivers notice that today's vehicles feel like temporary appliances rather than lasting investments. This discussion breaks down the shift toward complex, expensive car maintenance that often makes repairs impractical. We look at the reality behind current automotive industry trends, specifically how integrated technology impacts the long-term ownership experience. If you are tired of spiraling costs, this video explains the design philosophy behind today's disposable cars. You will gain a clearer understanding of why your vehicle might be harder to fix than models from previous decades. By analyzing the intersection of horsepower, torque, and proprietary tech, we help you decide if your next purchase is truly built to last or destined for the scrapyard. 5 Forever Cars That Make Modern Cars Look Like A Joke! 2003 VW GTI VR6. Built like a tank! 6-speed manual, naturally aspirated. Mine still going strong after 23 years with no major issues or repairs. Made in Brazil too. What a car!

I have owned NA cars and turbo cars. Always the turbo cars have had turbo related problems. Intercooler and pipes, the plumbing to the turbo, or the turbo itself.

Great video. Love my 2016 RX350 F Sport and 2002 RX 300. Both run excellent, reliable and all accessories work. People think my F Sport is brand new!

I recall years ago reading an article on a respected old school car rag , that couldn’t talk enough about the accord v6 coupe and that it was the last of the muscle car coupes. They were never appreciated enough inmho and only really car guys giving them a nod. I would about any Jeep 4.0 or any CJ. If you can find one maintained and rust free it will outlive you and you can fix most most things under your favorite shade tree with common tools. Chevy gmt 800 deserve honorable mention as does any Gm with the supercharged 3800. ☺️

I own the much maligned VW Phaeton (2004). It purrs today like the first day I bought it. I've never been stranded by it, ever. Dual batteries help in that regard. If one battery fails, turn the key in the opposite direction and it will start with the auxiliary battery. Fabulous under rated car if you can find one. This car does require some major maintenance at 60-80k miles.

I don't have an M3, but I do have a daily E46 323CI that I've had for about 5 years now. She has her (to be expected) problems, but I still never get tired of driving her. With over 238000 miles, I hope to have her for years to come.
