US Debt Risks: Hidden Time Bombs in Treasury Data and Foreign Dependency

Uncover how delayed Treasury reports reveal critical vulnerabilities in US debt, driven by risky foreign financing schemes involving the Cayman Islands and Japan.

Short Summary

  • Tariff policies stalled inflation reduction and damaged consumer earnings, evidenced by falling transactions and rising foreclosures.
  • Foreign capital inflows masking debt risk rely on unsustainable "basis trades" from hedge funds and Japanese investors.
  • Treasury data misrepresents true foreign ownership, obscuring the immense risk posed by unwinding these highly leveraged positions.

This analysis breaks down delayed economic data and the complex financial maneuvers that currently prop up US deficit financing. Understanding these mechanisms is crucial as domestic economic indicators—like rising bankruptcies and slowing cargo—flash red regarding consumer health.

Thank you, Max. ❤. Reminder “Scott Bessent lost 90% of his hedge fund’s money and left Wall Street with one of the worst track records in the business.”

The funny thing is we have been through all of this before, from the fear mongering about a red scare with McArthy, to the rich Rober Barron's making corrupt deals with the government, and we learned nothing.

They know exactly what they are doing. They use our taxpayer money to enrich themselves, and members of Congress and the Supreme Court are allowing it while also getting rich off of it.

Tax the rich. Make them pay their fair share instead of giving them more tax breaks. All of this with such a simple solution.

Add the fact that AI and robots don't pay taxes, how does the government plan to replace those lost taxes?
