I'm French and I read the original article. What the prosecutor is saying is that JP’s cause of death wasn't direct physical trauma (ie he wasn't hit in the head until he died or anything like that). The physical abuse he got resulted in minor injuries that didn't directly cause his death. Basically, they're just reporting the facts regarding the cause of death, nothing more. It doesn't mean the streamers who tortured JP are in the clear, the autopsy isn't finished yet, and the investigation is still ongoing.

Most people don’t know since they don’t speak French but JP biggest dream was to be loved and have a family. The streamers kept telling him that he couldn’t be loved because of how miserable of a person he was and that they were the only people that would stand beside him. They killed him on the inside before actually killing him

what makes it hit harder for me, is the fact he called his mom telling her he feels like he's being held hostage, it just breaks my heart truly. justice must be served for rafael and his family.

I've seen the interview of "Naruto"'s lawyer on TV (I'm french) and the lawyer literally said "Well my client said he was scared it would happen because they knew that Raphaël (the man who died, real name) had poor health and heart problems" and then the journalist asked: "So they know he had poor health and heart problems but they would still choke him and beat him?" Lawyer didn't know what to say.

EMT here. One of the largest contributing factors to heart problems aside from diet and medical history is your mental state and stress level. There is no chance whatsoever that his health problems alone were the cause of his passing. If he were, say, at home streaming games, I doubt anything like this would’ve come to pass. Absolutely sickening.

French here. Charlie gave a good summary of the events that happened, but I’d like to highlight one aspect he didn’t really touch on: the psychological abuse that Jean pormanove was subjected to. As Charlie mentioned, Jean was tortured and beaten for hours on end, over many months, all while staying with his so-called “friends.” But beyond the physical violence, there was also an enormous psychological hold over him, which to me was even harder to watch. There are countless clips, livestreams, and videos showing this insane level of psychological abuse. For example, they would call his mother live and insult her, calling her a prostitute. They mocked his intelligence through cruel games. Jean had health problems, including speech difficulties, and they used that against him—turning his struggles into a way to make money while humiliating him publicly. They made fun of him for crying when he found out live that his dog had died. Jean was deeply depressed and unhappy with his life. In several videos, he says he wants to quit, but that he stays only for the money, because he has nowhere else to go and feels completely trapped. That money gave him just a minimum of financial freedom, something he couldn’t afford to give up despite everything. One video that really stuck with me showed Jean opening up about his sadness. He said that his biggest dream was to have a family, a loving partner, and children. Instead, they would gang up on him, telling him he would never have a partner, never have children, and that without them he was nothing—that he’d end up homeless. And what I’m sharing here is barely 1% of what he went through. For me, it’s one of the hardest and cruellest things I’ve ever seen.

Kick deleting _ONLY_ the clips and entire videos of them beating and torturing this man but leaving up the rest to drive a narrative is unforgivable.
