The ref probably got confused and thought the Saints were the Chiefs.
There truly needs to be fines for mistakes like these. Players get fined for doing their job improperly, so why not refs?
You know what I think is nuts? That the NFL has an official gambling partnership. Think about that. An official licence sports betting partnership.
I have never commented on a web page about officiating. Unfortunately, this particular game caught my attention. This referee crew made a few mistakes in this game. The clock issue being only one of them. The NFL should investigate this crew.
The clock was stopped for FOUR seconds. That last play would not have got off
how in the world can he say the officiating is better this year
- Missed roughing the punter - Egregious roughing the passer calls - Missed blatant DPI’s against Terry mclaurin - Stopping the clock for 4 seconds This crew needs to be fined. Imagine how many people lost money for taking the over on the commanders.

The refs have been doing crap like this to Washington ALL SEASON
The Commanders played a game against the Giants a few years ago. 4th QTR, Wash. had the ball at the Giants 5 with a few seconds left, down by 4 I think. A Giants DB was all but inside of the Wash. WR's uniform, the guy bear-hugged the WR and he couldn't catch the ball. No flag. Everyone including the various sports shows said it was the most egregious non-call ever. I'm sure its on YT somewhere.
