My wife's boyfriend hated this video.
"He's just a friend" has ended more marriages than anyone else in history.
I had this argument with my friend, I said it’s not okay, called me and my husband old-fashioned. Guess what? She cheated!
it's funny that this was common knowledge 70 years ago
Thank you Matt. Totally on point. Like I always say, "If you don't want to fall, don't walk in slippery places."
Hands down, the vast majority of affairs I have worked with as a marriage therapist have stemmed from individuals having friends of the opposite sex while married
Matt's next award-winning documentary film: "What Is a Friend?"
Licensed therapist here…I have to preach this every day! It’s an abuse of the relationship to ask “don’t you trust me?”
Suddenly I understand why people in successful relationships try to help their friends get into equally successful relationships. It's to preserve the friendships. Not just to "spread the happiness."
it’s so ironic that everyone agrees that there’s a fidelity problem and everyone’s scared of marriage. But when you offer an actual solution to guard yourself from temptation, everyone just throws it out and mocks it. It’s your prerogative on whether or not keep your opposite sex friends, but then don’t come crying about marriage not working when someone inevitably cheats. Marriage takes effort to maintain, and one of the efforts is being cautious about who you are spending time with. It’s not rocket science
