You can tell that he has been raised by parents who taught him "don't let anybody put your hands on you..." The only problem is they didn't explain to him that if you respond back with unequal force and you kill someone you're going to go to prison for murder .

As a teacher I already live with the threat/reality that I might lose my life trying to save the lives of my students in this g*n obsessed county. I do not want to teach in a society where typical school arguments and fights end with children dying or going to prison for decades because they’re being raised by adults who think all bets are off when someone touches you. If you lost your son because he pushed someone in an argument/conflict with another boy, you would be not be saying, “Well, my son shouldn’t have pushed/touched him first”. You would be distraught and saying that your child didn’t deserve to die just because he didn’t keep his hands to himself. Children dying before their parents is out of the natural order of things and parents are never the same again. We cannot normalize and excuse events this tragic.
