17th December 2019. My wife, her sister and I were stood in our garden awaiting an ISS flyover. The sun had just set and there was still dim light on the westerly horizon. The ISS approached from the north and just as it was overhead a red light (not really bright like an aircraft light but slightly dull) approached from the north east and seemingly intercepted the ISS and sniffed around it before it then veered northwesterly (from our point of view). We all looked at each other an said “WTF was that?” I reported it to MUFON and the investigator wasn’t surprised and said “ahh thats common enough ‘they’ were just checking it out.” I’m an aeronautical engineer by trade and also former military aircrew and I can definitely say it wasn’t an aircraft in the atmosphere but something at orbital level. Glad to hear astronauts reported ‘red’ lights also.
