Trump's Attacks on Democracy are NO MATCH for the RULE OF LAW

My daughter was born on February 22nd. As a George Washington birthday girl, she still loves our county and is so very disappointed with the horrific state of our country now. I have done my best to inform her of the dangers of the Trump administration. At first, she was…Mom, you need to listen to all sides. But now, she knows. There is only one side. We have everything I warned her and anyone I met about how dangerous this Trump government would be. Well, here we are. Now, we have to figure out how to hold this bunch of criminals accountable and get back to the country we can be proud of.

When Paine, Lincoln, and the long line of citizen‑jurors first staked the republic on law over any man; and when Calhoun’s nullifiers, Jim Crow legislators, and modern grievance‑brokers strained to bend that law to force; yet when Jackson at the tariff brink, FDR against the fascist tide, and today’s prosecutors in open court turned the nation back toward reason; then the record showed again that American democracy survives only when leaders and citizens choose principle over power.
