The fact that the concept of gerrymandering is considered a “fact of life” reality in the US is fucking baffling… Here in Australia, we got rid of it decades ago by establishing the independent Australian Electoral Commission which sets districts based on census data and actually runs every election in the country… Transferring those powers from politicians to bureaucrats would start to make the good old US of A resemble a true democracy…

We get the party we vote for, and the Dem party desperately needs rebuilding from the Local all the way up to the Federal

Of course, the Dems will throw all this goodwill in the garbage the first chance they get, but HOPEFULLY this energy means we have a higher chance of replacing those rat traitors with ACTUAL opposition Dems in the midterms. Inshallah

It's telling that democrats are willing to fight back against Trump in a way that provives them more votes but not in any way that materially benefits the people.

Bipartisanship means nothing when one party literally sees us as the enemy to be jailed, deported, killed. We have to defeat republicans permanently, not play paddycake w them.
