Never knew I could have something in common with gravity

So, particles pop in and out of existence, some of them release some energy that pushes the spacetime apart, and the more space there is for this to happen, the more pushing apart energy is released. Seems like a reasonable explanation for why the expansion is accelerating. The question we should answer is: Does the same thing happen every time particles want to pop in and out? Or there are cases of something different happening to the ones that pop in close to each other.
Extra points for repeatedly saying "might" instead of "is" with regards to the various theoretical concepts!
