I love how they've populated this show with a bunch of lesser-known but clearly experienced character actors. It really makes a difference and elevates the material even more.
This is the most real, nitty gritty approach to the Star Wars universe that’s ever been done. Loving this series so far
What I love about the scene with those imperial investigators is that they didn’t make them evil people. Their boss seems like a genuine good boss. He’s efficient, he’s clearly good at what he does, and he showed that one woman firm assurance. Slightly scolded her for a mistake but then commented her on achievement and propped her up with compliments on why she was chosen. They just happen to be on the opposite side of our heroes. Makes it more realistic.
The ISB stuff in this ep is arguably the most compelling Imperial stuff ever put to film. Vader is obviously super compelling, but not really because of his imperial stuff. Stellan Skarsgaard is incredible. Mon Mothma at her peak. This show is absolutely incredible.
I am extremely impressed with Andor so far. Not only are the production values very high - cinema level if you ask me - but the dialog, story and acting are all top notch. I can see why Disney has already ordered 12 episodes up front and 12 more for next season to be filmed starting in November. To me, this is right up there with The Mandalorian as far as overall quality goes. Well done, Star Wars!
Another amazing episode of Andor getting to see the day to day life of the imperial officers and the subordinates was a nice change of scenery. I also enjoyed the whole planning heist and this is the start of the whole rebel alliance. The tone, setting, cinematography fits the original trilogy so well. It's like we are back to the 1970's, 80's.
I love how much we're exploring Coruscant in this show, its by far one one of the best star wars planets
The acting and atmosphere building in this show is PERFECT. Kenobi doesnt even hold a candle to this in terms of actors, music, atmosphere. Imo this series is INCREDIBLE. So much more 'real' than others.
I love the little touches like when Cassian looks at the flight controls while Luthen talks to Vel or how Luthen takes a beat to get in character.
