To think Trump rolled back rural internet connections to keep them uneducated and then want to build these dangerous monstrosities is so diabolical

The president has tried to ban any local or state regulation of data centers. They know its not popular.

Here in San Marcos TX we got a data center blocked from being built and taking water from our precious river. Real proud of our city council for listening.

"overnight meeting" is the ancient trick to try and sneak something through a town/city hall and pass it while no one is looking.

I'm 25 miles from a massive data center site planned by new florence MO along interstate 70. The company is forcing increased utility bills to pay for it. How is this fair? Shouldn't a corporation pay for its own electric and water usage?

The data centers are raising energy prices for everyone.

I live in a small town in Texas known for drought. It happens almost every year. They've permanently hiked our water rates because of it. It's a massive recurring issue. They're building a data center here. Cannot make this stuff up. They "assure" it won't impact the droughts. Sure, Jan. Sure.

Gee, why would people be upset about their utility bill going up a few hundred percent.
