Axels boss was a real life cop in Detroit.
One of my favorite Eddie Murphy movies
LETS GOOO. The eddy murphy saga begins!
"I like serge" Everybody loves him.
"Is this gonna be one of those classic moments where the captain is yelling at him?" This is THE yelling captain.
26:59 Damon Wayans: SShh Go ahead take the bananas😅😂🤣
About his laugh, during promotion for the last BHC movie, he said he was upset when people would do an impression of him and always do his laugh. He said it wasn't Axel's laugh, it was his laugh, and he forced himself to change it cause he hated people seemingly only knowing him for that.
Eddie Murphy was given significant creative freedom to improvise in Beverly Hills Cop (1984), ad-libbing large portions of his dialogue to establish Axel Foley's fast-talking, charismatic persona. Director Mark Molloy noted that Murphy’s improvisation was crucial in enhancing the film's humor, with iconic scenes, such as the "Super Cops" dialogue, largely ad-libbed. Extensive Improv: Murphy frequently ad-libbed, forcing co-stars like Judge Reinhold to pinch themselves to keep from breaking character during scenes.
Making Axel an undercover cop was the smartest thing for this movie. Easy way to let a sketch comedy actor do a bunch of characters on the fly.
17:40 Perfect Strangers I’m so glad you recognized him
