"as a true vibe coder" lol. Only true vibe coders know the secret elite level prompts such as "Just make it work".
Video about Firebase ❌ Video about Marketing his product✅
I’ve tested it for simple things and it’s fine, but for more complex applications it’s not so good yet.
Integrating Gemini 2.5 Pro into Firebase Studio sounds like a game-changer for developers. I use aicarma sometimes to keep track of AI-related trends, and it's fascinating to see how tools like these push boundaries.
Hopefully soon, when autonomous humanoid AI robots get sufficiently advanced, we'll have vibe farming and vibe gardening in addition to vibe coding.
I know the architecture of applications. I understand frameworks, data models, state management, etc, etc, but I am NOT a coder. I can frankencode, but I have never had the time or the inclination to devote the time and effort to becoming a good coder. I love the ability to vibe code. I can completely instruct the AI on what I want and guide it in the details and so on. What I have found though across all the tools is that the bigger the code base the more likely you are to have issues. Also, I learned to never try to make sweeping changes. Even something as “simple” as standardising variable names or something like that will break the code if you try to do it in one go. The vibe coding approach works best if you work in modules or small sections. You have to maintain the bigger picture and guide it through the process. These tools can do one, two, three shot type solutions for small, simple, common apps, but anything complex needs to be worked on carefully, section by section, module by module. When I do this I absolutely love the speed and results. It blows away anything I could do from scratch by myself.
Ive tried making a color grading extension, it put rick Astley song as a preview, Gemini rick rolled me no cap.
I tried it multiple times, either it doesn't work or Lovable does a MUCH BETTER job.
