In Arthur Conan Doyle's books, Mary also dies shortly after the wedding. Those familiar with the books are prepared for this. It's heavy stuff, but the next two episodes are even darker.
"Minecraft" and "My-craft" is killing me😂😂
John never told Mary about his affair he was about to when she said he was perfect and that's why he hated himself more when she died and took it out on sherlock
Poor Sherlock becoming the punching bag. Anyway, next episode is one of my all time favourites. It’s a masterpiece. Can’t wait for you to react to it.
The scene where the dog stops is based on the dog (actor) not moving when he was supposed to in the scene. They wrote it into the script.
Sherlocks guilt comes from aggravating the villain. Mary warns him, he keeps going, then she shoots and Mary dies. That's why they have that scene at the end with Hudson. He blames himself
Partially based on the story 'Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the Yellow Face' in where Holmes overconfidently gets a case wrong in a location called Norburry and afterwards instructs Watson to say the word 'Norburry' should Holmes ever get too overconfident during a case.
Mary was a wonderful addition to the dynamic duo — her passing still hits for me after all these years! 😢 Watson had been through so much heartache already 🥺 I remember thinking, “when does all of the hurting stop for this man?!”
In the stories it was never explained how Mary died.
I cannot wait until the next episode. My mom and I always watched Sherlock together, but I missed the premiere of Episode 2. The next day she told me "I won't spoil anything, but I think they just had the most reprehensible villain ever."
