That poor Brazilian shop owner waited 15 YEARS to get his money back from Santos. I applaud you, Señor. That was tenacious.

The people of Bordeaux eating at a cafe outside unfazed by protests and fires raging in the background is the most French thing I've ever seen in my life.

I live in FL and I am homeschooling my youngest son through high school. I made this choice because I felt like the public school system was not doing enough to prepare him for college. As the years have gone by, I'm so glad that we did this. Each time news come out about the ridiculous things going on around here, I am grateful. I'm even more grateful that he is the last of my children, so I don't have to deal with all this nonsense. My daughter will be graduating college next month and will be leaving the country soon with me. My other son is already working full time and has thoughts of leaving FL and maybe the US all together. My youngest will likely get his AA/AS degree here in FL because it is cheaper as a FL resident, but he will likely go to get his Bachelors somewhere else. Years ago when we moved here from NY it was like coming to paradise, but no longer. Florida is looking more like a hellscape every day.
