I like it when there's no guest because Al is more lively and the whole crew vibes are more on point. More of these please 🙌
I thought it was good with Andrew and Akaash. Then we added Mark and the info/backstory to topics. THEN added Alex to the couch and completed the hang. Absolutely love it all
NO GUESTS. This one gonna be 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mark lowkey might be the funniest one of the 4. He makes it look so easy and it’s always clever, on stage it’s probably different. But in a podcast setting mark just effortlessly kills.
The "They dump it on their head to raise awareness" joke after the dick on ice line made me cry laughing. Mark sneaks some fire in every now and then.
As much as I like seeing a guest pop in every now and then just the 4 of yall have such a better energy when a guest aint on
"them pants north of the mason Dixon... Them ankles free" I'm fucking weak
Former ophthalmic (eye) tech here. In developed countries they usually only do one eye for cataract or refractive surgery at a time. They do this so if something does go wrong, which is very rare, you don't mess up both eyes. The next one usually follows a few weeks later. I have heard stories from some asian and south american countries where they do both, and you're rendered blind until they both heal, with some patients being stuck in a bed with sandbags over their arms so they don't touch their eyes. The surgery used to be done by hand, which is far more invasive and less precise. They now have machines that cuts the surface of the eye, when a small sucker can then be placed into where the lens is. The tip on the sucker thing also releases sound waves which breaks up the clouded lens and sucks it all up. An artificial lens is then placed where the old clouded lens was. It unfolds coming out of the tube and is oriented so you can see properly. The lens is determined beforehand by measuring their eye, and they're different strengths like glasses are, can give you near perfect vision if you have no other conditions of the eye. The machines that do these surgeries are ridiculously expensive however. The eye surgeon I worked for served a community of hundreds of thousands of people, doing 20-50 patients a week, and its cheaper to rent the machines from whoever makes the devices than to buy them. With advancements in technology becoming sooner and sooner, you don't want to still be paying off a machine a decade down the line when its outdated. She also did those surgeries a max of 2 days a week, you can crank them out. This is mainly for cataract and lasik surgery, which is one of the leading causes for blindness worldwide. Some of the patients I noted in the video had them. Theres other problems that take much more to fix, but cataract and lasik is definitely the quickest to cure.
Can we just take a moment to give it up for Al. I mean this man's comedic punching power and overall vibe has improved tremendously.
Off the cuff Al was on fire today!
