We then see a nerdy variant Ekko doing his thing in his workshop thinking his ass was gonna have a normal ass day. He picks up one of his notebooks and writes some notes…and amongst those notes is a little drawing of Powder with a heart next to it…a drawing I like to think was drawn by Powder herself when Ekko wasn’t looking. But have a normal ass day Ekko would not because in comes Ekko from the shitty timeline to do a quick Blue Skidoo into that mans’ body…a weird multiversal body possession much like the phenomenon of dreamwalking that was presented in Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”. Ekko goes to check his reflection using the glass of a clock…foreshadowing this episode’s involvement with the concept of time. But as Ekko does this, he’s suddenly surprised by the arrival of a grown up Powder. However, when she surprises him, her reflection is that of Jinx’s from Ekko’s native universe…an excellent way of illustrating how Ekko himself sees Powder in that moment.
