Be clear, the tactics we saw in the Texas primary should alarm anyone who believes in voter rights. Marginalized folks showed up to vote, -some stood for hours, -some were sent away in droves, -some contended with broken machines, -some may have their votes discounted entirely. This wasn’t just about voter suppression, this was about voter dejection. It’s saying very loudly that, no matter what you do or how you try, your vote/your voice can be taken from you. This is what we must fight.
