The more Friedberg talks, the better the episode.
Chamath: I don't talk about my investments. Come again?
Really appreciate Friedberg and his nuance. Shout out to you for your honesty and integrity.
I am 76. It is easier for me to read my bank, medical and other financial information when I have the stmt in my hand. I have bad eyes. I feel safer with a copy of my retirement statement in my possession. That way I have proof of the account. I cannot trust the computer or cell phone - battery dies, lose the connection, comp. crash, etc. The postal service goes where private services dont go, especially if it is not cost effective. Taking away USPS will cut many people off, probably more than you know. As a grandma I like to send my kids and grandkids personal cards and letters that they hold, read, and keep. This is my way to give them something from me to them personally. I think we the people should have a say before the USPS is closed. There are still plenty of people who don't do everything with their cell phone. I dont like your idea for the USPS. But I love your podcast. It is very enlightening, and I have learned things I didn't know. I haven't worked I the financial sector since 2009. So many things have changed, new ways of processing, new terminology, and new products. Your podcast helps me get in touch. You guys laugh at lot, and each of you have happy smiles. That is much better than the dreary bad news people. Thank you so much.
I think its quite clear that you have positioned this pod as an outside voice of reason or at least open discussion and now you are unfortunately not so outside anymore. Do not stop addressing topics because members of the pod are now personally involved/invested.
There's no bookmark in the menu to show me where Friedberg came to his senses and dropped off the pod. Can that be added?
This podcast is becoming so stupid. People that have 5M can already become a citizen of almost any country in the world.
the silence is deafening
The All In on Trump podcast
As a Brit, Chamath missed the final step when discussing the result of austerity in the UK. It didn't just lead to Brexit, but 15 years of no economic growth, and flat to falling wages, and living standards.
