The Day I Met Ozzy Osbourne | Jim Breuer Remembers a Legend

I worked with Ozzy for a day in 1992 at a photo shoot in LA, and I was so shocked that he came over and introduced himself to ME! I was a 19 yr old PA and told never look directly at talent unless addressed etc. To see him shove his hand at mine and say Hi, I'm Ozzy! just floored me. And when he was leaving, same thing. He personally said goodbye to everyone there. I'll never forget his charm and authenticity, he really made you feel important.

I have a funny Ozzy story. My friend worked at Guitar Center and Zakk Wylde was coming into town to do a signing of something at Guitar Center. My friend got to hangout with Zakk Wylde the whole time. After everyone was leaving, it was some of the guys that worked at guitar center, including my friend and Zakk Wylde and Zakk said to those closing up "hey you guys want to come back to my hotel room with me". They all looked at each other and said "uh ya, of course ". So he gives them the location and they all drive in their separate cars and when they arrive Zakk Wylde is on the phone and says to everyone there "hey is it alright if I bring a friend over" and they look at him and say "sure man, it's your place, you are Zakk Wylde do your thing". So Zakk Wylde continues to be on the phone and tells everyone else where to go as he stays out in the parking lot on the phone. Everyone goes inside and are just chilling in Zakk Wylde hotel without him there but then Zakk Wylde eventually walks in. As he walks in he asks everyone if it really is ok if he brings a friend and everyone is starting to not understand why he keeps asking that and they say "ya man, you are Zakk Wylde, it's your place, do your thing". Zakk Wylde says "ok my friend is coming in like 15 minutes. 15 minutes later there is a knock at the door and Zakk Wylde gets up and says "oh that must be my friend" he goes to the door and opens it up and in walks Ozzy freaking Osbourne. Everyone is in awe and my friend looks at Zakk Wyld and says "dude, you gotta warm us about if you are bringing Ozzy on by" and Zakk replies "this way seemed better to me". Lol It gets better They all greet Ozzy and when Ozzy starts talking and every time Ozzy spoke, everyone in the room would look at Zakk Wylde to translate what Ozzy was saying. Lol My friend played Paranoid on an acoustic guitar as Ozzy sang. It was the coolest experience ever! True story

I remember when MTV only played music videos & everyone would get so excited & have a get together for their favorite artist's "world premiere" videos! Those were the days! 😎

I remember Ozzy was trying to watch Half Baked, but he couldn't get the DVD player to work. That movie made several appearances on the show.

R.I.P. Ozzy thanks for all the great songs and all the funny laughs.

I spent a day looking after Ozzy when i worked at MTV london. It was a genuine pleasure.
