It's a travesty that USAID has been gutted. But I'm surprised it wasn't targeted long ago because unlike, say, Social Security or the EPA, it doesn't directly affect the average American. And unlike NASA, the FBI, the CIA, or the witness protection program, it has no amusement/entertainment value. It's not covered in middle- or high school. So most Americans live out their entire lives without knowing about USAID. Doesn't this make it a sitting duck? This touches on a historic defect of the liberal Democrats: they're good at creating institutions, some of which do a lot of good, but with a few exceptions, they've never been able to build a solid base of support for those institutions. In many cases, the Democrats apparently believe, "Look, if the agency does a helluva lot of good, that's the only important thing, right?" No. It's also important, somehow, some way, to get the average citizen to know about it and support it.
And the SCOTUS argument is that racism does not exist anymore. It is too stupid to believe.
We need more ppl with this type of passion for public service.
Folks we love the show! Left is best!!
Cancelling a contract just because it has life saving assistance in the language is prima facie evil. Arrest, prosecute, and imprison for life everyone associated with this regime.
that interview was one of the most incredibly depressing things i have ever heard in my life. i actually have a pit in my stomach just thinking about what was lost. fuck me
The damage was devastating from the loss of USAID subsidies, it's awful to think how many lives were lost or changed overnight
Best of 2026 interview entry. Very difficult to watch but incredibly informative. Thanks for a great show.
13:50 Emma's death stare LOL
