The dad was the ultimate MVP of the story. He literally let his own kids practically hate him the rest of his life in order to keep them from learning the truth that their mom tried to kill the twins while possessed by the house. Bravo, Dad!
Here before a lot of people, so will tell you watch "Midnight Mass" and "Haunting of Bly Manor" by same director!!!
"You go on without me" "How could we?" Uncontrollable sobbing starts
When this first came out people gave Hugh a lot of shit for leaving Liv. I work in crisis management and the first thing you do in a situation like that is identify two things: the danger and the vulnerable. Liv was the danger and the children were vulnerable. Hugh did the right thing. Once the children were out of danger, Liv became the vulnerable and the house became the danger. He just couldn’t get to her in time.
Earlier when Mr. Dudley is talking about the child who died at birth he refers to it as "our first" but its easy to miss he just kind of sneaks it in there.
"I was so lucky to be your dad" just kills me 😭😭😭
The ugly crying when the Dudleys come to pass away in the house, 100% relatable.
2 years sober for Luke not 2 days 😂
What I love about the "confetti" monologue is that it's a contrast to Nell's first experience with "becoming" her own ghost. She gets hurled through time until she realizes the truth behind the Bent-Neck Lady with horror. But here, she understands and she's able to reshape her perspective over the fragmented, scattered nature of time. So, rather than look at it with terror, she has compassion and sees the "confetti" that their lives have reflected, through every triumph and every tragedy. The writing hits me every time.
And just like the whole family y’all didn’t trust Luke when he said Abigail is real
