The US picked on the wrong country. Putting sanctions on a country as huge as Russia, a country with enormous resources and a well educated population was its big mistake. Russia just made its own stuff, it didn't need to buy western stuff or use its financial systems etc. The global majority stood by Russia. Russia's economy isn't a war economy. Russia just knows how to fight modern warfare and look after its people. The US is years out of date.

As always, you were both great in telling the bitter truth. European allies of the U.S. are prime examples of what the late Henry Kissinger said: "To be an enemy of America can be dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal". This is also why no country should trust the U.S. about anything their political leaders say/promise.

The fatal drug epidemic was set off by an American pharmaceutical company - they didn't even go to prison despite plenty of evidence of the skullduggery and lies that promoted the drugs. Profit first mentality led to this. While there is demand from the US for drugs, someone will supply it: deal with that problem.
