"Crime is not a data thing - it's a feeling thing." This from the "Facts don't care about your feelings" crowd is.... A choice.

that person with schizophrenia should have been hospitalized, my sister is schizophrenic and if she wasn't hospitalized she could have been left in jail or on the streets to rot. this isn't a race thing its a mental health issue. shame on the US court system, the judges and DA need to be held accountable.

The stabbing story really breaks my heart, that girls blood is on the courts hands, they knew the man was ill and failed to provide proper care for him, and it cost a woman her life. This is about the quality of healthcare, not race or crime. This isn't solved by soldiers in the streets, it's solved by doctors in hospitals.

Current DoD employee here. My first thought was the cost that’s going to come with this name change. I’ve seen 40+ of my coworkers resign or be forced out by this admin all in the name of saving money. Then they pull this shit 😑

The side that constantly tried to say they were anti-war tried to change the Department of Defence to the Department of War.

“Crime is not a data thing -It’s a feeling thing…It’s not about whether you’re a victim. It’s about whether you feel you’re a victim or not.” So…I guess the GOP have just given up on “facts don’t care about your feelings.

Last story just goes to show civilians aren’t even a second thought to those in power. It’s absolutely insane to think you could murder 3 people, tell the world about it and nothing happens to you.

As someone who’s worked in the court system, doing involuntary commitments aren’t as easy as people assume. It takes court, hospitals, designated crisis responders and more. Mainly most places do not have the room or funding to keep people. Involuntary commitment is only 14 days - more if someone petitions for longer, it’s not an automatic thing. I WISH we could do more, but there unfortunately just aren’t enough beds or funding for those who need it.
