UPDATE: A M6.6 aftershock just hit (21:52 UTC) the area of the M7.6 Japan earthquake, which is a good sign that this is a "normal" earthquake sequence and not perhaps a foreshock for a M8.0+ (even M9.0+) megaquake. 7.6 Is a good one. We were in Alaska for the 2018 7.2. I did not know a structure could turn to jello like it did. Our main beam in the house had waves going through it flexing it about 12 inches. It definitely gave me a new respect for structural engineering.
