White House: “We’ve added 20 million jobs” TikTok: “we’re all getting laid off”
Just watched a used car dealer say there are more repos than in the 2008 crash. The economy is failing from the bottom up. Wall Street is loving it but not for long
The gig economy artificially keeps the unemployment numbers low. People doing a little door dash/uber eats are not counted as unemployed but they are really looking for full time work and are unable to find it.
my brother in oregon got layoff in may, my wife also in oregon got layoff in july, my father in texas got layoff in june, none of them have found new jobs. I have not been layoff yet, but my entire team might get layoff later this year. We all work in different fields and companies, I have not seen this many layoff since the pandemic. Not even in 2008 I saw so many people getting layoff.
Anyone unemployed and applying to jobs knows the amount of Ghost Jobs are staggering. They need to ban the practice of posting ghost jobs, it just wastes people time and gives ppl false hope they'll land a job that doesn't even exist
Imagine a CEO firing the guy/gal reporting their business is losing money. You’d think that CEO would likely run several businesses into the ground, resulting in several bankruptcies. Ironic.
They’re still saying the unemployment rate is 4.2 percent with a straight face?
Anyone else feel like that “Everything is fine!” meme like 24/7 now?
I am so annoyed with the media. Economists warned the consequences of raising taxes on the middle and working classes. Now we are paying the consequences.
I remember they were saying everywhere that there was so many jobs available and every one was just lazy and not working by choice. RIIIIIIGHHHHTTT. LOL
