When I was living in NYC, there was a guy all the time outside of Starbucks begging for food. I told him I wouldn't give him money but I'd buy him a sandwich and coffee or tea. He told me what he wanted, I'd get him that and throw in a muffin. When the Starbucks folks caught on to what I was doing, they'd give me extra food for him.
