Kenyon is right. The moment Nico even thought about trading Luka he deserved to be fired on the spot. The fact that he wasn't points to the owner's involvement. Luka isn't even available to be traded without the owner's knowledge and he sure as hell isn't actually traded without the his approval. It was widely reported before the trade that the owner didn't want to pay Luka the supermax and Nico found another option. Yes, Nico found a bad trade but he is only looking because the owner allowed it.
it's obvious the carrot was cooper flagg for them to even consider the trade. clearly adam silver's initiative to bring luka to LA. and if you're promised AD and Flagg then you're thinking we're good. when the mavs "MIRACULOUSLY" got that pick, Nico comes out and says the fans are finally getting the game plan. meaning flagg was part of the deal from the get go.
