I've been using Warp for more than 2 years and I simply love it, really.
I don't know if it is just an ad video, but i have tested warp against cursor, windsurf, firebase studio and gemini cli, and it is just better at building, although it does not have some features that its counterparts have like web searches.
this was such a cool story it really shows how far we’ve come with llms acting like true collaborators I’ve been building similar voice driven workflows and using genum ai to validate prompts track token usage and version updates has been key to keeping everything consistent as the complexity grows
i love the terminal concept. and editing as it generates it was something i liked. i liked that it can search and read and understand directories i gave it. but there is room for improvements. since it can read my entire hard drive... there should be rules that ask me whether i am willing to share whatever Warp finds in there( i can't imagine anyone saying yes to that). I am thinking Warp will be amazing in a few months.
thanks for covering this AI platform. It would be great if you could explore more upcoming and similar platforms.
Hi, Last year I worked as a support engineer and needed to detect if a PDF-File was created with some security stuff init. Because the PDF (invoice) could not be processed by the invoice processing environment. I created a test application within 30 minutes to create a Python application, with user interface that checked the pdf for permission restrictions. IT worked and we notified the sender of the invoice about this issue and within 2 days the issue was resolved. From that day I used warp...super stuff!!.
Good starter tutorial. My biggest problem with warp is that without being able to view the codebase in an IDE format, it makes it tougher to fine tune the prompts and edit the code. An ideal scenario would be a blend of warp with an IDE like VS Code.
Thanks, intersting stuff and I agree that the UX in these systems will span a wide range. Funny timing, as I was just building a little voice activated assistant to help me use the Gemini CLI more effectively. Looking forward to digging into this.. Apprciate the content.
Looks amazing. I also love working directly from the terminal.... going to look into this.
