NFL Week 11 REACTION: Broncos win AFC West, Chiefs panic, Bears on top | Colin Cowherd: THE HERD
Colin Cowherd Analyzes NFL Week 11 Shocks: Broncos Upset Chiefs, Bears Rise
Denver upset Kansas City, signaling potential terminal decline for the Chiefs' dynasty, while Chicago cemented its legitimacy at 7-3. Understand why these results represent solidifying trends, not flukes, across the AFC West and NFC North.
Short Summary
- Denver established itself as the current team to beat in the AFC West by executing strategically better football than Kansas City in their pivotal matchup.
- The Chicago Bears' 7-3 record appears sustainable due to elite rushing production, ball control, and drastic reduction in critical negative plays.
- Key injuries highlight league-wide fragility, specifically Philadelphia's reliance on right tackle Lane Johnson for Jalen Hurts' efficiency.
- The analysis grounds these game outcomes in long-term roster construction and coaching philosophy, separating genuine identity from fleeting luck.
This segment breaks down the major upsets from NFL Week 11, focusing on the implications for division races and playoff seeding. Colin Cowherd and Jmack assess if the Denver Broncos truly supplanted the Chiefs, examine the identity of the 7-3 Chicago Bears, and discuss fragility markers on contenders like the Philadelphia Eagles.

you all can hate JMac all you want but he was right about the Chiefs with that video he made months back saying they don’t win the AFC west and miss the playoffs. the Carolina Panthers have the same record as the KC Chiefs yet none talk about them on TV. that’s JMac’s point.
Ready for his chiefs and Caleb opinions to flip from last week
72 hours ago Colin was saying he won’t be surprised if Denver drafts another qb early. Let’s see what today’s overreaction hyperbolic take is
Let's just gloss over the fact that last week Colin said Payton would be drafting a QB next season...
Nick wright in hibernation
Last week Colin said he wasn’t sure if the Broncos found their guy and trashed Bo. No matter if you’re wrong or right, you still keep your job like the weather man, Colin. Congratulations
To be fair Colin did have Denver winning the division at the start of the season. That being said his "Denver will draft a QB" take was awfully stupid.
Bears fan I'm extremely happy with the team they're going in the right direction. I'm not expecting a SB run this year.
Colin sold all of his Bo stock and we aren't selling him anymore
I moved to Chicago in 1984 at age 7. The next year was of course the '85 Bears. With that said, this year I was hoping for 8-9 wins. Anything beyond that will feel like a bonus, ahead of schedule. What's important is Caleb is developing, and Ben feels like we have the right coach.
