Cline - the most underrated AI code editor

Another legendary David Ondrej video, with promised breakdown - apparently existing in the same parallel universe as my dad who went out for cigarettes 15 years ago. Fascinating how a nearly 15-minute video contains enough time to build two entire games yet somehow not enough time for a minute long promised verdict at 0:26. The true AI magic isn't in the code - it's in making viewers forget what was promised.

Would be more interesting in seeing how well it handles already established medium sized codebases as those one-shot demo applications don't really showcase it's true capabilities as I guess we're all here to finish that saas product not to one-shot a chess game.

Thanks David! We have begun standardizing all of our repo's to use Cline's Memory Bank. I haven't seen anything else (other than other Cline forks like Roo) out there that matches it for tracking session context and project knowledge. Do you know of any CLI clients that can use it as optimally as the VSCode Cline extension? In other words, I'm looking for a CLI client (ie Codex, Goose, Aider) that is also a MCP client, so that it can perform the same utility that Memory Bank provides in VS Code. Thanks!
