Description

The Great Sphinx in Giza is the largest and most studied monolithic sculpture on Earth, yet it remains one of humanities greatest mysteries. This ancient monolith defies explanation, pre-dates our earliest known civilizations and may hide the secrets of our very origins. While mainstream archeology theorizes that the Sphinx was built around 2500 BC, geological evidence suggests it is much older. See more in Season 9, Episode 2, "Mysteries of the Sphinx." Sometimes I wish my wife were arguably one of the most studied monuments in the world yet remains one of the most mysterious.

Anubis makes alot more sense in many ways. The current head is not proportional to the body.... A lion is also possible. I believe it's definitely older than 4500 years.

I’ve always felt, ever since I started to study ancient Egypt in school at a young age, that the Sphinx was at least 10,000 years old. I dunno why but ever since the second I saw it, I just got that feeling. And the more I looked into it and read different things about it and everyone that came across it, not one ever took credit for building it and everyone always said “it was already there” basically. I always found that interesting and figured there was some kind of life before humans or just as humans first came around. It’s also rumored to house the back up of the Library of Alexandria.

Yes, in high school, they taught us that Napoleon and his soldiers used the Sphinx's nose as target practice...

What's with the restoration work on the front legs and paws, it looks rushed as if someone was trying to hide something.
