Firefly larvae also eat snails and slugs! They live in the mulchy areas & the larvae are small worm shaped creatures. Bcuz they have flexible bodies, it's easy for them to crawl up into the snail shells ! And while invading the snail's home, it also helps itself to dinner! 😆 So for those who live in areas where Fireflies also live - keep those pesticides and herbicides OUT of the mulchy areas because THAT'S where the Fireflies are doing their good deeds for you!! And we ALL need to make sure the Fireflies don't go extinct!!! They are currently threatened for all kinds of reasons, with the "Cides" being a big one. Help save the Fireflies!!! We wouldn't want to grow up without them!!

I had some aphids infested seedlings I was hardening off, and I borrowed a lady bugs from my yarrow to try to do some damage control. Boy did it deliver! Went to work straight away, gobbling up those aphids! It was so cool!

So much visible pent up frustration, especially with the Japanese beetles. I feel ya. So much frustration with those diabolical creatures this year. They’ve attacked my roses, cucumbers, apple trees, beans, everything…

I always have to double-check when I see a praying mantis on my plants to make sure it isn't a grasshopper

Strange how the nastier pests have a more menacing look to them. My pics were 100% accurate based entirely on that.
