I swear, those cartel stories are way scarier than any ghost story I hear. It's crazy what humans are capable to do to other humans :(
This guy just doesn't stop, he's always consistent no matter what, RESPECT.
Scariest thing about México? Our judicial system Also, that fucking ghost in your house that likes to slam doors and pull your covers at night and doesn't even leave when you slam the cacerolas. But really, worse thing about México: apathy. There are people that can be good and help you when you need it, but most of the times they turn around and pretend that nothing's happening. It sucks that violence and crime are so common that people no longer feel like changing things, they no longer feel like helping others, it's really sad and scary.
My husband can’t even visit his hometown in Mexico, I wanna go so bad but he said no. He hasn’t gone since 2006. His parents want to go to their home that they built from the ground up near Nuevo León so badly, but they can’t do that either. They said it’s too dangerous. So sad that they can’t even go to their country to visit their own home.. My father in law’s parents couldn’t even be buried in Mexico the way they wanted bc it’s so dangerous. They had to be buried in the Rio Grande Valley. 😔
The 2nd story was absolutely horrifying, I can’t imagine what it’s like to go through something like that. I hope the OP is doing alright nowadays.
The cartel stories are absolutely terrifying I don’t know how people can do this to other humans
The scariest one of all is when I forgot to put the chicken out and almost burnt the house down for not taking the beans off the stove

Me and my mom we're almost kidnapped in the middle of the road in a Mexican state called Michoacan when I was a kid, we had to hide in a gas station for 10 minutes and the gas station workers had to tell them they hadn't seen anyone. Sadly it happens more than you'd think and most Mexicans have stories about someone almost being victim of narco violence or something happening to a family or friend, or even personal stories like mine.
You should talk about the folklore about Mexico and Central America. There’s always a story to be told when the drunk tios decide to scare you, ghost stories to duendes lol
