I lost my mother about a year ago and it taught me to not judge how others behave during times of stress. I went totally numb. My nervous system went into lockdown. I did not react the way I expected. Not everyone becomes a total mess when hard things happen.

Death row for killers! Fake kidnappers should get a minimum of 20 years.

When my house burned to the ground at the same time my husband was terminally ill and dying, I needed to feel I had control over SOMETHING. I made a point of taking a shower and looking presentable for MYSELF, not for others. It’s called SELF CARE & it is understandable. Judging others for how they cope with calamity is shitty.

This whole situation is a horrific nightmare. So sad to kill a poor elderly lady who never hurt anyone.

When my mom died I went to work immediately the next day. I would take little breaks and go out to my car, sob, replace my makeup, and go back to work. My employer told me to take all the time I needed but I couldn’t stand being home where my mind just saw what my mom looked like as she stopped breathing. I felt like I wanted to scratch my own eyes out. I didn’t want to eat, sleep, watch tv, or be around family. I needed distraction and routine for a few days until I began to accept things. It is so easy for people online to say what they would do or not do then accuse another person of a crime. lol, there are a lot true crime people online that are scarily narrow minded while being so confidently ignorant.
