Regarding Perez, anyone who says he deserves grace forgets how insanely cruel he was. I definitely remember him joking about women being sluts, being fat, being crazy. He was on board with Britney losing her children. I’m pretty sure he made jokes about some of those women ODing when they were still alive. So seriously, if anyone gives Perez any grace, it speaks more of their own good character than what Perez deserves. I’m sure what he experienced was horrifying and I wish it on no one, but I will never forget how he contributed to a culture that brought so much self hatred, mental health crises and eating disorders to the celebrities he targeted and the young girls who soaked all that up and turned that language inward. Edit: Decided to take a trip down memory lane and did find some articles talking some of the other horrific shit he did, including making fun of the children of celebrities, sharing celebs leaked nudes, photoshopping a minor Miley Cyrus to look like she wasn’t wearing underwear in an upskirt shot, outing multiple lgbtq+ celebs or forcing them to out themselves before they were ready, and constantly joking about Amy Winehouse ODing before she did eventually die. No, Perez is irredeemable. If you think he deserves grace, then by that logic so do all the snarkers who relentlessly harass Ethan and the crew. This is snarker shit. Perez just managed to become famous off it.
