Call me lazy if you want but I've done nothing but lay in bed and binge listen to you all day.
I just love how obsessed she is with a clean kitchen. Even while bedridden, just the thought of dirty dishes in the kitchen is TOO MUCH.
That first story just hit far too close to home for me. My parents didn't separate until long after I was out of the house, but having a drugged up mom who acted just- unstable like that was something that kept me awake at night more often than not. Nothing terrifies me more than my mom relapsing or showing up late at night at the house I'm currently in after what she did. I hope the OP in the first story is alright because I can't imagine how traumatic seeing your own parent like that was.

The story his mother missing David was sad. My grandma has beliefs that when someone is close to dying. Passed loved ones would visit them, possibly to make the transition to the next life more comforting. No one else can see them but the one who is close to passing. I believe his mother was actually experiencing a supernatural occurrence and she is NOT crazy from being so grief stricken.
Perfect day to spend the day after Halloween is listening to let’s read!
I think that 'David" was really present in some fashion. Dementia and the mind are so hard to cope with. But I do believe she felt something present that felt like her husband. My own mom is losing her memory and gets scattered very easily, it is very hard to watch this once super social and outgoing woman (in many ways she still is) experience these memory deficits so often now. I thank the Cosmos she still knows her children at 97, but its sad to see her slipping.
Joel, you are awesome and you are an amazing narrator.
I feel so bad for woman in story 4! Her mother having the nervous breakdown was just so sad. I pray that she found peace. Both mother and daughter!
Aw the story with David was so sad :(
